Great triune God, Father, Son, and holy Spirit, our Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier, with reverent awe and adoration we join the Church in the song of the angels: “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of Sabaoth. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” We praise You as the source of all blessing. In you we live and move and have our being. You have provided a sacrifice for all our sins, and opened again for us the gates of paradise, which were closed to us on account of our transgressions. Through Your loving-kindness, we have not been left in the ruins of our sins; You have saved us by Your Word, washed us clean in Holy Baptism, and declared that we are children of Your grace. And though we walk the way of Your commandments with halting steps, You daily forgive all our sins. With a grateful heart we look to you, saying: “Abba, Father.” Heavenly Lord, who is one in three, grant that we may ever and always accept the mysteries of Your unerring Word, the blessings that continually come to us and all believers through the means of grace, and the privilege of my membership in the body of Christ – the Church. Give to us the joy and courage to use the talents entrusted to us as we serve our neighbors and fulfill our duty to those who depend on us. We ask this in the name of Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Amen.
